Africa, which has endured the horrors of terrorism, long before other regions of the world are themselves concerned, has diligently worked to find the most appropriate ways and means for preventing and combating this devastating phenomenon of modern times, and adopted in 1999, the Convention of the Organization of African Unity on the prevention and fight against terrorism.
